Day 1 to 3: Johannesburg to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport & Muluwa Lodge – South Africa
Your Kruger and Mozambique Safari begins in Johannesburg when you catch your flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, the gateway to the Kruger National Park and South Africa’s Louwveld. You are greeted on your arrival and a transfer takes you to Muluwa Lodge, a 15 km (about 18-minute) drive.
Muluwa Lodge offers breathtaking views over the striking Lowveld of South Africa. It is ideally located to explore Kruger National Park on a guided full-day Big Five Safari or to simply relax and enjoy our setting in a peaceful wildlife estate, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. Settle into your Luxury Safari Tent that blends gently into the hillside. Pitched atop a wooden deck, it offers breathtaking views over the bushveld, dotted with peaceful giraffe, zebras, nyalas and other ‘plains’ game that roam freely and are often seen around the Likweti wildlife estate. Cultural excursions to nearby Mpumalanga attractions, such as the scenic Panorama Route and the Blyde River Canyon, can be arranged.
Day 2 of your Kruger & Mozambique Safari begins early as you embark on a full-day Kruger National Park Safari. Head into the park at dawn, the best time for wildlife sightings. Throughout the day, your guide will navigate the park’s vast network of roads, using their expertise to track animals and interpret signs of wildlife activity. The park is home to diverse landscapes and wildlife, and you will stop at key points of interest for photography, observation and rest breaks at designated picnic spots or camps within the park, where you can relax and enjoy refreshments.
Each evening, experience a truly magical South African tradition, a “Boma” dining experience beneath the stars and kissed by the moonlight. Enjoy a variety of local dishes prepared before your eyes on open flame beneath the canopy of an age-old Acacia tree, as you bask by the fireside and swap stories of your day.
- Included Activities: Full-day Kruger National Park game drive, Airport Transfer
