Day 1: Cape Town to Mont Eco Game Reserve – South Africa
This 4-day Cape Town Safari to Mont Eco Game Reserve begins when you are collected from your Cape Town accommodation early in the morning. From the airport, you are transferred to Mont Eco Private Game Reserve, a vast 6,500-hectare (16,000-acre) haven in the heart of the Klein Karoo. Sit back and enjoy the breathtaking scenery on the 3-hour drive to Mont Eco Private Game Reserve in the Western Cape of South Africa.
The Klein (Little) Karoo boasts an extraordinary succulent habitat, housing over 5,000 species, nearly half of the world’s succulent varieties. Mont Eco hosts a unique blend of fynbos and succulent plant life, situated in a transition zone between the Fynbos Biome and the Succulent Karoo Biome. Accessible and captivating, its rugged mountains, rolling hills, and valleys provide endless fascination for visitors. Over the next 4 days, we explore the Karoo wilderness of Mont Eco Game Reserve and its diverse wildlife.
We arrive for check-in at Kingsley Lodge, your luxurious eco-lodge accommodation at Mont Eco Private Game Reserve, between 12h00 and 13h00. There is plenty of time to settle in and enjoy lunch before embarking on an exciting guided game drive in this private Big 5 game reserve. Look out for Africa’s Big 5 animals (lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes) as you take in the unique fauna and flora on your safari in South Africa. We return to Kingsley Lodge after our game drive for dinner and a relaxing evening marvelling at the spectacular Klein Karoo night sky.

Days 2 & 3: Mont Eco Game Reserve – South Africa
The next two days of your Cape Town Safari are all about experiencing nature and the wild inhabitants of Mont Eco Game Reserve on sunrise and sunset game drives or bush walks. For these 2 full days, you have the option of two game drives or a game drive and a bush walk per day. Your choice must be communicated to the staff at Kingsley Lodge the day before. Should you choose a bush walk, this will replace the morning or afternoon game drive that day.
Begin your day with an early morning game drive or bush walk, followed by breakfast, with plenty of time for leisure and rest before enjoying a delicious lunch. Spend some time after lunch relaxing or enjoying the facilities at Kingsley Lodge before embarking on your sunset game drive or bush walk in Mont Eco Private Game Reserve. On your return from your chosen wildlife experience, we enjoy dinner at the lodge and another wonderful starry Klein Karoo night.
Guided game drives and bush walks at Mont Eco are a real treat on your safari in South Africa, as the iconic Big 5 animals have been successfully reintroduced to the game reserve. So keep an eye out for the famous Big 5 of Africa on your guided game drives with expert rangers who share their knowledge of the intricate relationships between the fauna and flora of the Klein Karoo. Scan the bush for lions and elusive leopards and encounter iconic Karoo species like the Brown Hyena, Aardvark, Oryx, and Klipspringer, alongside herds of Eland, Springbok, Wildebeest and Giraffe. The last day of our 4-day Cape Town Safari to Mont Eco Game Reserve starts with an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. Then it’s time to bid farewell to the tranquil Mont Eco and embark on your transfer back to your accommodation in Cape Town.
