Akan old people say; tradition is so worthy it cannot to be undermined; tradition is so worthy it cannot be parted with; that is how most important tradition is.

The collective composition and conduct of a people, to restore; to behold and glorify a culture once held in high esteem but somehow bedridden; and to regain it should not constitute abomination; but some may ask: – Are the elements which constitute that particular culture abominable?

It is not my intention here to weigh up the relationship between what is abominable or not; but to attempt through hard toiled years of epistemological research; present inferences that I arrived at concerning primeval cultures of the earth and nature; notwithstanding that of Akan traditions and customs; from where I have my ancestral heritage…..

In the first part of seven series, I introduce the fulcrum of all Akan customs and traditions: the “Matriarch” that which is called by the Akan ‘Ɛbusua’…..
