Day 1: Johannesburg to the Tented Camp near Kruger National Park – South Africa
Our thrilling budget 3-Day Kruger Camping Safari in South Africa commences with a morning departure from OR Tambo International Airport. We traverse the enchanting landscapes of Mpumalanga’s Highveld and Lowveld, reaching our tented camp around 14:00. After a quick refreshment stop, we dive into the excitement of an afternoon sunset game drive aboard an open safari vehicle in the Blue Canyon Conservancy and Moditlo Nature Reserve.
The private Moditlo Game Reserve forms part of the larger Blue Canyon Conservancy. This wilderness area promises exceptional wildlife encounters across diverse terrains, including bushveld plains and riverine zones. The Blue Canyon Conservancy and Modlito Private Game Reserve are home to the iconic Big 5 (lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes) and other fascinating animals like cheetahs, hyenas, and giraffes. We stop for sundowners in the bush as dusk descends before returning to our tented camp. Gather around the boma fire for a memorable evening, star gazing and swapping tales of the day’s adventures over a delectable dinner.

Day 2: Kruger National Park Safari – South Africa
On day two of our Kruger Camping Safari spend a full day exploring the official Kruger National Park, South Africa’s top safari destination.
Our program offers two options: an early departure for Kruger National Park with a bush breakfast on the way and an earlier return to camp, or a later start with breakfast at the camp and a later return to camp. Departure times will be communicated the night before and adjusted to maximise your chances of encountering wildlife. Our Kruger safari, led by expert and knowledgeable guides, will last approximately 7 to 8 hours focusing on the Orpen-Satara area famous for its frequent lion sightings. Following our safari in Kruger, we return to our tented camp near Kruger for leisure and another delightful starlit dinner by the fire.

Day 3: Greater Kruger to Johannesburg – South Africa
Our 3-Day Kruger Camping Safari concludes this morning after breakfast at our tented camp near Kruger. Then it is time to bid farewell to each other and return to OR Tambo International Airport, arriving in Johannesburg around 17:00 or 18:00.
Although there are no scheduled activities for today, optional extra activities can be pre-booked to enhance the last day of your Kruger Camping Safari in South Africa.
You can pre-book one of the following optional activities which will be confirmed on request:
- A short bush walk in the neighbouring Motlala Conservancy before breakfast
- A 3-hour sunrise game drive in the Blue Canyon Conservancy
- A Panorama Route Highlights Morning Tour as part of your transfer back to JHB (includes Berlin Falls, God’s Window, Blyde Canyon, and Three Rondavels)

This 3-day Kruger Camping Safari stays at a fully-equipped tented camp near Kruger National Park. With stunning views of the Drakensberg mountain range, the safari camp boasts well-equipped tented accommodations with en-suite bathrooms and amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a restaurant. The tented camp also features a tranquil garden with an inviting outdoor pool.

About the Blue Canyon Conservancy and Moditlo Private Game Reserve
The Blue Canyon Conservancy, located near the famed Greater Kruger National Park is an expanse of protected land teeming with an impressive variety of plant and animal species. The Moditlo Nature Reserve encompasses 3,200 hectares within the Blue Canyon Conservancy, totalling 12,000 hectares.
Situated at the base of the iconic Drakensberg mountains and located just 12 kilometres from Hoedspruit in the Limpopo province, it resides in the Valley of the Olifants, a mere 30 kilometres from Kruger National Park, it is dotted with lakes, and boasts a diverse array of wildlife.
