The people of the Surma tribe are found in southern Sudan, as well southwestern Ethiopia. During their teenage years, females undergo the lip stretching procedure which involves removing their lower teeth. Some of the men do this similar exercise to their ears. They also indoctrinate their warriors known as ‘stick fighters’ by inflicting scars on them.

    You started by showing us the Wodaabe Fulani of Niger and Chad. Then called them as part of those in Habashan (Ethiopia). Stand down.
