Day 1: Johannesburg to the Tented Camp near Kruger National Park – South Africa
Our budget 4-Day Kruger Camping Safari in South Africa kicks off upon touchdown at OR International Airport in Johannesburg. You’ll be met upon arrival and driven to our tented camp in the Greater Kruger area. Arrive at the tented camp and check in at 14:00. Then you can relax and explore the camp’s amenities before embarking on an exhilarating three-hour sunset game drive aboard an open safari vehicle in the Blue Canyon Conservancy and Moditlo Private Nature Reserve.
The Moditlo Private Game Reserve forms part of the larger Blue Canyon Conservancy. It boasts diverse landscapes of bushveld plains and riverine areas and is home to the iconic Big 5 animals. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and other wildlife such as cheetahs, hyenas, and giraffes. After soaking in the splendour of the Blue Canyon and Moditlo during our sunset game-viewing experience, we return to camp around 19:00 for a delicious boma fire dinner. As night falls, we enjoy the tranquillity beneath the star-studded sky, swapping stories of the day’s adventures on our safari in South Africa.

Day 2: Kruger National Park Safari – South Africa
Prepare yourself for an exhilarating full-day adventure on the second day of our 4-Day Kruger Camping Safari with two itinerary options:
The first option is to depart early in the morning and head straight to Kruger National Park, enjoying a delightful bush breakfast en route. This option entails an earlier return from Kruger Park, providing ample time to unwind at the safari camp. Alternatively, you can have a more relaxed start to the day with breakfast at the camp, departing for Kruger later and returning to camp later. Departure times will be communicated the night before to optimise wildlife encounters during your Kruger camping safari in South Africa.
Prepare for an enthralling Kruger safari experience lasting about 7 to 8 hours. Spend the day exploring the renowned Orpen-Satara area, known for its exceptional lion sightings with our expert guides, enriching our safari experience with their knowledge. Following our Kruger safari, we’ll retreat to our tented camp for a leisurely afternoon and another delightful African dinner around the cosy boma fire.

Day 3: Kruger National Park Safari or Panorama Route Tour – South Africa
This morning on our budget Kruger Camping Safari, we greet the day with an early rise, offering you the choice between a full-day safari adventure in Kruger National Park or an equally captivating full-day Panorama Route Highlights Tour. The Panorama Route in Mpumalanga Province is a scenic roadway connecting various cultural and natural attractions. The awe-inspiring Blyde River Canyon is central to its charm, ranked as the world’s third-largest canyon. Along this picturesque route, you’ll encounter breathtaking sights including cascading waterfalls, lush forested areas, and iconic landmarks such as Berlin Falls, God’s Window, The Pinnacle, and 3 Rondawels.
Your day can unfold in two distinct ways: opt for an early departure for Kruger National Park with a bush breakfast en route and a timely return, or enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the camp before setting off and returning later. Departure times will be communicated the night before, strategically chosen based on animal activity to heighten the likelihood of wildlife sightings during your Kruger safari experience. Spanning 7 to 8 hours, our safari in Kruger ensures ample time to return to camp for relaxation by the fire, followed by an evening of dinner by the fire and socialising under the stars.

Day 4: Greater Kruger to Johannesburg – South Africa
Our 4-day Kruger Camping Safari concludes after breakfast this morning, as we bid farewell and journey back to OR Tambo International Airport. Anticipate our arrival in Johannesburg around 17:00 or 18:00.
Although no activities are included for today, you can pre-book optional extra activities to add more action to the final day of your Kruger Camping Safari in South Africa.

About the Blue Canyon Conservancy and Moditlo Private Game Reserve
The Blue Canyon Conservancy, located near the famed Greater Kruger National Park is an expanse of protected land teeming with an impressive variety of plant and animal species. The Moditlo Nature Reserve encompasses 3,200 hectares within the Blue Canyon Conservancy, totalling 12,000 hectares.
Situated at the base of the iconic Drakensberg mountains and located just 12 kilometres from Hoedspruit in the Limpopo province, it resides in the Valley of the Olifants, a mere 30 kilometres from Kruger National Park, it is dotted with lakes, and boasts a diverse array of wildlife. While it is part of the Greater Kruger biosphere, it shares boundaries with Kapama Game Reserve to the east and the Drakensberg Mountains to the west, yet it is distinct from the Greater Kruger National Park.
